Inspo is the 21st Century word for inspiration. I am always looking for it, and funny how the brain works and creates connection to the most far-out concepts to actually trigger inspiration gathered or given. Verifying we can provide “outfit inspo”.
Definition: Something or someone that serves as inspiration or motivation.
For instance, dressing for a theme party like the Kentucky Derby Tea, it is all about the Hats. So much so that shoes sometimes end up either forgotten or mismatched. True story. I was able to borrow this Beauty above from my lovely neighbor, Witty Koenig. A show stopper, right?! Almost didn’t matter what else comprised the ensemble.
Yet the shoes were to die for – my “personal shopper” friend Traci Cox texted me them from, you guessed it, TJ Maxx, about the 3rd red tag discount, and they were mine. Inspo comes in all sorts of packages.
Similar to when you have the perfect retort in the moment rather than thinking of it hours later. Don’t you just hate when that happens. It is a head smacker like the V8 vegetable juice ads from days gone by. “I should have had a V8”, after downing something sugary sweet and totally devoid of nutrients.
Inspiration is a two way street, a give and take, yin and yan, badabing and badaboom. That is why collaboration is so very important now; not just in business and community, but for sure in Style. There are so many dang options.
My request to you is that we encourage each other to take a leap, step outside the box and soar.
