Sounds pretty easy right, but why is it so hard to identify, live and stay the course? Because we are mortal beings, and as they say, life happens, a lot. However, being true to who we are and projecting our inner essence is a critical part of our lives. Being “authentic” permeates every aspect of our inner and outward worlds. As within so without, as above so below; we are all part of the collective energy, so it is vitally important for each of us to be our best version of ourselves, stand in our personal style, and radiate the energy that resonates and is aligned to our personal style and purpose.
Let’s look at these elements and establish guidelines which will keep us in our lane. Kind of like bumpers when learning to bowl, it allows us to practice without the disappoint of throwing a gutter ball. If we could just treat life as a practice rather than a performance. Practice allows us to explore, try, fail and succeed.
Unique – your essence is unique, there is no one like you, amazingly enough with all the humanity on earth, there are no two individuals who are completely identical, even twins. So how do you step into your uniqueness. Easier than you would think – by letting go of the preconceived notions and conditioning you carry at whatever stage of life you are at. We all have baggage it is pretty much an impossibility to avoid, but we can choose. Get quiet, be honest with your feelings and be open to receive the messages that will allow us to find, stand in and enjoy our very own Unique.
Comfortable in your skin, oooohhh this is a big one. We have been trained to blend in, be part of the tribe and don’t make waves. Really? Seriously? Hooie!! Make waves until you catch your wave just like when you are waiting for the perfect boogie board ride. You will know because it will feel so right; you can’t turn away. When you are comfortable, you can’t avoid but help those around you to feel the same way. In my mind, it is a choice. When you wake up every day, you can make the choice happy or miserable, grateful or resentful. I promise you if you choose carefully life will respond.
Look your message, being congruent is critical. If you are leading your clients, family or friends to make good investments, you must look like you know what to do with money. If you are a hot mess and trying to suggest you know how to lead others to success, you better look like you live it. It doesn’t have to be drastic, yet it must be aligned. Inside out – Outside in – balanced. Get well sourced opinions (I can certainly help you here), listen, process and take ACTION.
We are all promoting ourselves all day long every day, smiling at the Supermarket cashier, thanking someone for letting us go first, imparting kindness is priceless. Please internalize these simple principles and just watch what happens. I promise you it will be magical, one could say that you GLOW!
